Stardust

Can't believe that I saw Stardust for a second time.

Well,I have done just that. Its a fantasy movie but not restricted to children. Its set in the 18th century and incorporates ghosts, witches, princes, shooting stars, Unicorn, pirates et all.

Charlie Cox plays a village boy from the Wall Village who sets out to bring a fallen star for the hand in marriage of his love Victoria. Instead he meets Claire Danes who is the fallen star and eventually falls in love with her. Michelle Pfeiffer is the witch who wants the star's heart to gain ever long youth. She's scary to the hilt. Robert De Niro is wonderful as Captain Shakespeare who is an air pirate because he has a flying ship.

Stardust is wonderfully written and executed without a single boring moment. The guard watching the wall, the goat who is turned into a man by the witch, the man turned into a girl, the ghosts are all too hilarious to be missed. I would recommend this to adults too. The cinematography and special effects(the moving camera during the night over mountains, zooming in and out) are awe-inspiring.
